Case Study: Laravel for a Warehouse Logistics Dashboard

Laravel for a Warehouse Logistics Dashboard

UniqueDeliveries.com specializes in high-touch, white glove furniture delivery and needed more than just a dispatch tool—they needed a system that could track every piece of furniture from the moment it arrived at their warehouse to the moment it left for a customer’s location. Prior tools were cobbled together and lacked visibility, consistency, and scalability. They needed a system built specifically for the way they operate. BTW If you’re looking to learn more please feel free to reach out to Dave and say hi or check out our case studies for some examples of our work.

The Challenge

Inventory Visibility Was Fragmented: Warehouse staff lacked a reliable system to track where furniture was stored, often relying on memory or paper logs, which led to frequent misplacement and inefficiencies.

Order Fulfillment Was Manual and Error-Prone: Delivery coordination was handled manually, making it difficult to track item status, locate pieces quickly, or manage schedules in a consistent way.

One-Size-Fits-All Tools Weren’t Cutting It: Workers in different roles—warehouse staff, dispatchers, and admins—were all using the same generic tools, creating confusion and slowing down daily operations.

No Central Oversight or Change Logs: Management couldn’t easily trace when inventory moved or who made changes to delivery status, making accountability and process auditing nearly impossible.

Our Solution

End-to-End Warehouse Intake and Mapping System: We built a Laravel-based app with QR code scanning and visual mapping, giving staff precise control over where each item is stored and how it moves through the facility.

Smart Order Fulfillment Pipeline: The system links each item to its location, delivery readiness, and schedule—automating what used to be manual and error-prone coordination tasks.

Role-Based Dashboards for Clarity and Speed: Tailored interfaces ensure each user sees only the tools and data they need, streamlining daily workflows for warehouse workers, dispatchers, and admins alike.

Full Change Tracking and Audit Logging: Every scan, move, and status update is logged and timestamped, giving management full visibility into operations for better oversight and accountability.

Tech Stack:

The Unique Deliveries warehouse and logistics system uses a Laravel backend for its operational workflows (QR scans, zone mapping, order fulfillment) backed by AWS‑hosted servers, while the public site runs on WordPress for flexible content management. For more information please contact Dave.
