Project Summary:
A project we were asked to tackle recently was to build a vacation rental property listings that uses the (pretty nifty) Escapia API. One of the main issues was how do we integrate the Escapia API to manage availability and prices of vacation rental properties as well as booking and unit searching.
For anyone needing the fast track on how to get started here, one of the first and most important things to do is to test the connection to access the Escapia server using PHP SOAP client. Once you are good to go there, you can start to perform API calls to search for units based on various criteria. Always remember to be careful of fly-by-night quicky WordPress plugin solutions as they don’t always deliver on what they promise.
