Last month we brought mention of the Oristand in an attempt to get you all off your butts (incidentally I have since abandoned my chair altogether and now can quite comfortably stand for maybe 6 hours a day at my computer instead of slowly turning into a slug. I feel better for it as does my waistline). Google Voice typing is the next effort on my part to save your hands and wrists from carpal tunnel syndrome. With Google Voice Typing, you can basically open a Google Doc, hit the little microphone button (you may have to initially activate it under “Tools > Voice Typing”) and then just start talking. It’s that simple. GVT has all the usual voice commands you might think of, “new line”, “period” etc. and is a very natural way to not only save on your wrists and fingers but save on time. I can create emails, draft project requirements and write blog posts such as this one in a third of the time.
